Light Drizzle voted ‘Best Bank Holiday Weather’ by residents of North Wales’ coastal resorts

Light drizzle at beach
Perfect grockle repellent!

SEASIDE residents enjoy peaceful, cold and damp Bank Holiday.

Residents of North Wales coastal resorts breathe unpolluted sighs of relief as last week’s muggy conditions give way to cooler, damp conditions.

Barry Brith, a resident of Anglesey, said: “I am so glad the drizzle arrived on time. It’s put off a lot of Brummie grockles from visiting their static caravans.”

“All night, they were evacuating back across the bridges to the mainland like rats deserting a sinking ship.”

“I might actually go for a little drive.”

I normally tell the children it’s illegal to travel further than the front gate on a Bank Holiday.”

“Of course, I feel sorry for the tourist businesses on the island but they don’t make much from caravanners anyway. In an ideal world, potential holidaymakers would all just post us some money, without actually visiting, like those nice Europeans used to do before all the racists voted for them to get lost.”

Mother of two, Madison Hatter, said: “We only spent 4 hours in the car this Bank Holiday – took one look at the grim beach and came straight back. We were hoping for a ten-hour commute.

“The kids had 5 DVDs lined up to watch and we had dozens of empty plastic bags in the glove box for biological emergencies.”

“My husband hasn’t suffered nearly enough quality time with his offspring.”

“I have ordered him to fire up the barbecue while I try to book a last-minute BA flight.”

“We’ve got to get our gridlock fix from somewhere.”
